    On Sailing the Sea, Hilaire BellocThe sea has inspired some of Mr. Belloc's finest writing. He has gone upon it from his boyhood, and it is part of his life. These essays, which are scattered throughout his many books of essays and which are here.     One of them, Dermod MacCarthy, wrote a book about his time on the water with Belloc, called Sailing with Mr Belloc. Writing Belloc wrote on myriad subjects, from warfare to poetry to the many current topics of his day.   Screaming indignantly that Belloc had no right to tie up to the rich man’s moorings, Belloc apologized and rowed away thinking, “Riches corrupt the heart.” Another time, Belloc remembered escaping from a perilous sea, sailing upriver and tying up to a small buoy in the middle of his boat’s path.
